PDF Editing in Canva
Canva can be used to reorganize and delete PDF pages. Depending on the PDF, it may also be used to edit text or designs on the PDF. To edit a PDF in Canva, please follow these directions:
1. Open Canva. For directions on how to log into Canva, please click this link: https://support.sau19.org/help/en-us/26-canva-for-education/21-canva-schoology-integration.
2. Click on Upload from the right-hand side of the navigation menu.
3. Drag your PDF into the Drop your contents here or box or click Upload files and select the PDF to upload.
Once uploaded, you will see your file listed in the Uploads section of the Projects tab.
To edit the PDF, please follow the directions below:
Delete Pages
1. Open the file and scroll until you get to the page you want to delete.
2. Click on the trash can icon located just above the page.
This will delete the page from the file.
Reorganize Pages
To reorganize pages, click on the Move up or Move down arrows until the pages are in the desired order.
Edit Text or Images
Depending on the file you uploaded, you may be able to edit text. Simply click on the text box of the text you want to edit, and change the text. You may also be able to click on images and delete them or add new images.
Please Note: Sometimes the layout of the PDF may be slightly distorted after uploading. This is due to the original setup of the PDF. Please carefully check to make sure everything is in its right place and layout prior to printing.
Downloading the New PDF File
Once you are done editing your PDF, please follow these directions to download your new PDF file:
1. Click Share in the upper right-hand corner and then select Download from the drop-down menu.
2. If the File type' is not PDF Standard, then click the drop-down next to PNG or the file type that is displayed.
3. Select PDF Standard. PDF Standard is best for electronic display, emailing, and Schoology. It also keeps accessibility features intact.
9. Click 'Download'.
Your new PDF will now be downloaded onto your device.
