Using PaperCut to Scan Documents to Your OneDrive

The Xerox copy machines are now equipped with PaperCut software to access the scanning functions. In order to scan documents to your OneDrive, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to any Xerox copier located within SAU 19. You will see a message on the copier asking you to Swipe your authentication card

2. Place your fob on the ID authentication location (which should be labeled).

If you do not have a fob, click on the keyboard icon on the authentication screen.

Enter your staff or student ID number and then click OK.

3. Once authenticated, you will see one of two screens.
If you enter the Xerox menu, click on the PaperCutMF app and follow the steps below.

If you directly enter the PaperCutMF app, click on Scan.

4. Select OneDrive from the menu.

5. It will state OneDrive and automatically load your file name. Check the settings. If you need to change any settings, click Change Settings and set to your desired settings.
Please Note: The default settings are set to 2-sided pages. If your document is only 1-sided, please be sure to change this setting.

6. Once the settings are complete, click Start.

7. Once the scan is complete, you will see a message that the page was scanned. If you need to scan more pages for that document, click Scan next page and follow the prompts. To scan a new document, click Scan new document. If you are done scanning, click Finish

8. Once you have completed scanning documents, place your fob on the ID authentication location to log out. The copier will go back to the authentication screen. If your session automatically timed out, then you do not need to scan your fob to log out.

9. Locate the email in your Outlook that asks you to authorize sending the scan to your OneDrive account and click Login to OneDrive for Business.

10. You can log into your Microsoft 365 (online) account and click on the OneDrive app.

11. Click on My Files.

Your file will be located here under the name set when scanning the document. You can also locate the second email PaperCut will send you that will take you directly to your files.
