Adding Books to Classes (Must be completed every year, prior to utilizing resources)

To enable certain features and content, you'll need to add books to your classes the first time you set up your Courses each year. When you log in to Big Ideas Math for the first time, you may receive a prompt to Add a Book. If you receive this message, please follow the on-screen prompts to add a book to the class.

If you do not receive this alert, follow these steps:

1. Click on Class Management from the Big Ideas Dashboard.

2. Course rosters are automatically rostered through Schoology. Once the students go into their Schoology Courses, they will have access to the materials (if you have added a book to your class). If your classes do not populate in the Active tab, select the Upcoming tab.

3. If you need to add an additional book or your class does not have a book, click the book drop-down menu (where the book title is usually listed).

4. A book selection drop-down menu will appear. Check the book(s) that are needed for that class. After you have selected the book(s), click Save Changes.

5. Repeat for all classes you need to add a book to.
