Adding the US Interantional QWERTY Keyboard to Easily Type Accent Marks
If you are frequently typing letters with accent marks than adding the US Interantional keyboard will allow you to type accents much faster. To add this keyboard, please follow these directions:
1. Click on the Windows icon in the taskbar at the bottom of your Desktop screen and then click on the Settings icon.
2. Click on Time & language from the left side bar and click Language & region.
3. Under the Language section, check to see if English (United States) is added under Preferred Languages. If it is not, click on Add a Language and add it. Then click on the 3 dots to the right of English (United States) and select Language Options from the drop-down menu.
4. Scroll down until you see the Keyboards section. Under Installed keyboards, click Add a keyboard and then select the United States - International QWERTY keyboard.
5. Go back to Time & language from the left side bar and click Typing.
6. Click on Advanced keyboard settings.
7. Under the Override for default input method section, click the drop-down menu and select English (United States) - United States - International.
Then you can exit out of the settings page.
You can now use this keyboard to type accents easily. The following table shows the keyboard combinations that you can use to create accent marks.
