Adjusting the AutoCorrect Options

When typing a document, you may notice that Word will automatically try to correct your formatting or typing. This is due to the autocorrect features that are set. Users can adjust these settings. To do this, please follow these directions:

Microsoft Desktop App:
1. Open a Word document.
2. Click on the File tab.

3. Click on Options from the left side menu.

4. Click on Proofing from the left side menu and then click on AutoCorrect Options.

5. There are several categories of settings you can change. Once you have completed your changes, click OK.


Microsoft Online App:
1. Open a Word document.
2. Click on the Review tab. Then click Editor and select AutoCorrect Options.

3. There are less options to adjust in the web App than in the Desktop App. Make any adjustments and then click OK.
