How to Save, Download, or Print Highlights and Notes Made on a Gale Article

Creating Highlights or Notes on a Gale Article

Students and Educators can highlight information and take notes on a Gale article. After all highlights and notes have been created, the article with these highlights and notes can be saved, downloaded, or printed. To do this, please follow these instructions:

1. Once you enter a Gale Database, click on the 'Sign in with Microsoft' icon in the upper right-hand side and enter your Microsoft log in (your username includes @sau19.org at the end of it and the password is your normal computer password). If you are already logged into Microsoft on the computer, it will auto log you in after clicking the sign in with Microsoft button.
2. Open the Gale article you wish to highlight and take notes on.
3. At first you will only see the overview of the article so you will need to click the 'Read More' button to view the full article and to highlight or take notes.
4. Click and drag over the information you want to highlight and take notes on and a highlight and notes menu will appear.

5. Click the color you want for the highlight and enter the notes you wish to make into the text box. Then click on 'Save' to save your notes. If you just want to highlight the text, chose the color you want and then click 'Save' without entering any information in the text box.
6. To see all the highlights and notes you have created, click on the 'Highlight And Notes' button in the upper right-hand corner of the article. If you cannot see all the highlights and notes, click on 'View All Highlights and Notes'.
