When using information from a database article in a project, essay, research, or other school materials, you will need to cite it. To do this, please follow these instructions:
Citing a World Book Online Article
1. Open the World Book Online article you obtained information from.
2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Select Citation(s) from the drop-down menu (which may look slightly different depending on the World Book Online product you are searching in.
4. Highlight the citation listed under MLA and copy it by right-clicking on it and select Copy or press and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the C key at the same time.
5. Paste the citation into the Works Cited section of your assignment by right-clicking on where you need to place the citation and select Paste or press and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the V at the same time.
Citing a Gale Database Article
1. Open the Gale Database article you obtained information from.
2. Click on Cite in the top menu.
3. Be sure that MLA 9th Edition is selected and then click Copy Citation.
The citation will automatically be copied, and a disclaimer will appear stating it has been copied.
4. Paste the citation into the Works Cited section of your assignment by right-clicking on where you need to place the citation and select Paste or press and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the V at the same time.
Citing a PebbleGo/PebbleGo Next Article
1. Open the PebbleGo/PebbleGo Next article you obtained information from.
2. Click on Cite from the bottom menu.
3. If you are citing an article from PebbleGo, click Copy to copy the MLA citation.
If you are citing an article from PebbleGo Next, you will be given a citation for APA, MLA, and CMS. Click Copy for the MLA citation.
Once it has copied, it will show a green button with a checkmark stating it was copied.
4. Paste the citation into the Works Cited section of your assignment by right-clicking on where you need to place the citation and select Paste or press and hold the Ctrl key while pressing the V at the same time.
