The Gale Databases have many great articles to support learning that can be directly linked within Schoology Courses. Please follow these directions to link articles:
1. Log into Schoology and click into one of your Courses.
2. Click on the Gale Databases button on the left side bar.
3. Click into the desired database to search for an article you want to link to your Schoology Course, or you can use the Search bar to search all databases at one.
4. Click into the desired article by clicking on the title of the article or clicking the Read Overview button.
5. Click on the Get Link icon in the upper right-hand corner.
6. When the link window opens, click Copy.
7. Go back to your Schoology Course and click on Add Materials. Then click Add File/Link/External Tool from the drop-down menu.
8. Click on Link.
9. Paste the link into the Link/URL field and name the eBook in the Title field.
10. Click on the ABC icon to ensure the article will display in a new window.
11. Click Add.
The article will now be directly linked to your Schoology Course. When students click on the link, it will open in a new window.
You can also add it to an assignment by creating the assignment, clicking on the link icon inside of the assignment, and pasting the link there.
