Destiny eBooks are great resources to support learning. SAU #19 teachers can link specific eBooks into their Schoology Courses by following these directions:
1. Log into Schoology and click into one of your Courses.
2. Click on Follett Destiny from the left side bar.
If it doesn't take you right to Destiny Discover, click on the Destiny Discover link on your school's Destiny landing page.
3. Search for an eBook you want to add by entering a topic into the Search field and click Search.
If you want to limit the search in Destiny to eBooks, click on the Search drop-down menu and click eBook. and then search for a topic. The search will now be limited to eBooks.
4. Click on the ebook you want to link to Schoology.
5. Click on the three dots to the right of the favorite heart and select Share from the drop-down menu.
6. Click on the Copy icon (two rectangle icons) to the right of the link to copy the link.
7. Go back to your Schoology Course and click on Add Materials.
8. Select Add File/Link/External Tool from the drop-down menu.
9. Click on Link.
10. Paste the link into the Link/URL field and name the eBook in the Title field.
11. Click on the ABC icon to ensure the eBook will display in a new window.
12. Click Add.
The eBook will now be directly linked to your Schoology Course. When students click on the link, the eBook will open in a new window.
You can also add it to an assignment by creating the assignment, clicking on the link icon inside of the assignment, and pasting the link there.
