Set Up OneDrive Back Up

SAU 19 devices will be utilizing OneDrive to backup files. In order to connect your OneDrive account, please follow these directions:

1. Click on the cloud icon with the line through it, in the lower left-hand corner of your device.

2. A message will appear stating your OneDrive isn't connected. Click Sign in.

3. Enter your email address and click Sign in
Please Note: The email address will be your first initial and last name (with no spaces), followed by @sau19.org.

4. Enter your password for your OneDrive account and click Sign in.

Once your account has been connected, the cloud icon in the lower left-hand corner will turn blue and it will no longer have a line through it.

5. You will see a pop-up window with information regarding the OneDrive connection. Click Next.

6. The toggle switches will be set to Off for the three folders. Leave these as is and let the scanning process occur.

7. After the scanning has completed, click I'll do it later.

8. You will need to move any files you want to back up to your OneDrive account. Once they are moved, the backup cycle will cue every 15 minutes. For directions on moving files to your OneDrive account, please click this link: SAU19 Knowledge Base - Move Files to Your OneDrive Account.

Please Note: Although the backup cycle occurs every 15 minutes, the time it takes to complete the backup can range from minutes to hours, depending on the number and size of files. This process will occur in the background (as long as the device is powered on and being used). You can use the device as needed while it is backing up. If you close your device, the backup process will be paused until the next time your device is utilized.
