Mapping Schoology Categories to PowerTeacher Pro

For Schoology to successfully sync grades to PowerTeacher Pro with Assignments syncing to the correct Categories and grade calculations, the Categories will need to be mapped in Schoology first. Please follow these steps to map your Schoology Categories to your PowerTeacher Pro Categories:

1. Log into Schoology and click into a Course you need to map Categories for.

2. Click on the PowerSchool button on the left side bar of your Schoology Course. If prompted, authorize the PowerSchool App (this will be a one-time authorization each year).

3. Click on the Configuration tab. You will see your Categories from PowerSchool listed on this screen.

4. Under the Schoology Course Categories section, click the drop-down menus to select the matching Category. The Schoology Category on the left, should match the PowerSchool Category to the right of it. Then click Save Changes.
4. Click the Section drop-down menu and click on your next linked Section.

5. Complete these steps for all linked Sections of this Course and for all your Courses.

Please Note: Configuration screens should not be altered during the year as it will change how things sync to PowerTeacher Pro. This could impact previous grades synced.
