Configuring Scheduled Syncs in Your Schoology Gradebook

Setting Up Scheduled Syncs

Teachers can set up scheduled sync within their Schoology Gradebook to automatically sync grades on a daily or weekly basis to PowerTeacher Pro. Although the scheduled syncs will sync any changes made for the schedule you set, you will still need to monitor for syncing errors and updates that did not automatically sync. To configure your scheduled syncs, please follow these directions:

1. Click in the PowerSchool button on the left side bar of your Schoology Course.

2. When the PowerSchool screen appear, click the Configuration tab.

3. Check the Schedule Sync box.

4. Select Daily from the drop-down menu. The 'Day' will stay set as Sunday, but it will sync each day.

5. Select a time frame for your sync.

6. Click Save Changes at the bottom of that screen.

Please Note: If you are using linked sections, click the section drop-down menu at the top left of the PowerSchool screen, and select the next section. Repeat these steps for all sections and remember to save after you set up EACH section.

7. Complete these steps for all Schoology Courses you teach.

Your Schoology Gradebook will now automatically sync any changes to your PowerTeacher Pro Gradebook according to your configured settings. You will still need to check the Sync Log (clipboard icon) to check for errors and 'Updates Available' alerts. If errors are listed, click on the alert to see specific details and make any corrections needed. Then you can manually sync that assignment from the Sync Log. If there are any 'Updates Available' alerts in the Sync Log even after the scheduled sync has occurred, then manually sync those assignments. At any point, you can manually sync assignments that you want to send to PowerTeacher Pro.
