Accessing Your Schoology Portfolio
1. Log into your Schoology account.
2. Click on your profile picture from the right-hand side and choose Your Profile from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Portfolio from the left-hand side.
You will now be in your Schoology Portfolio. Anything you have added to the Portfolio will be accessible here.
Publishing Your Schoology Portfolio
It will be important for students to publish their Schoology Portfolios so others can see their work. This is a critical step! To publish the Portfolios, click on the circle icon next to the 3 dots of a grade level folder.
The circle will turn green once it is published.
Adding Items to Your Schoology Portfolio
1. Click New Portfolio.
2. Give your Portfolio a title and press Enter. You can create multiple Portfolios this way.
3. Click Portfolio Items and chose what type of submission you would like to make.
Assignment Submission:
If you are choosing Assignment Submission you will choose the Course, then click on the specific assignment to add, and click Add Submission. Your file will now upload into the Schoology Portfolio.
*Only assignments available to upload this way will be visible. Google Drive and OneDrive Assignments cannot be uploaded this way.
Students using the Secondary Schoology View (Grades 5+) can add assignment submissions directly to their Schoology Portfolios right after they submit their work as well. This option will not work if it is a Google Drive or OneDrive assignment. If they create the materials in Google or OneDrive themselves and attached it to an assignment, this will work.
1. After submitting an assignment in Schoology, a portfolio icon will appear. Click on it.
2. Select the Schoology Portfolio to add the assignment to and then click Add.
The assignment will now be added to the Schoology Portfolio selected.

If you are uploading a File, you will be prompted to select a file from your device. Click on it and then click Open. You file will now upload into your Schoology Portfolio.
If you are trying to upload a Google file, you will need to download the Google file onto your device first by:
1. Opening the Google file.
2. Click File, select Download and choose PDF Document (.pdf).
Students can then upload the file following the steps above.
If you are trying to upload a Microsoft file, you will need to download the file onto your device first by:
1. Opening the Microsoft file.
2. Click File and select Export from the drop-down menu. The select Download as PDF.
Students can then upload the file following the steps above.
Canva:
1. Click Share in the upper right-hand corner and then click Download.
2. Click the File type drop-down menu, select drop-down menu, select PDF Standard.
The PDF will download to the device. Then students can follow the steps above to upload it to their Schoology Portfolio.
URL: ***We do not recommend you share via URL because students often forget to change sharing permissions, and the document will not be viewable if you miss that step!
Copy a Share Link from Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides files):
1. Open the file you want to add to your portfolio.
2. Click on Share in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Under General access, click the drop-down menu and select Anyone with the link.
4. Click on Copy link and the click Done.
5. Go back into your Schoology Portfolio.
6. Click into the folder for your Grade.
7. Click on Portfolio Items and select Link/URL from the drop-down menu.
8. Paste your link into the text box and click Add Link.
Your file will now appear in your Schoology Portfolio.
To view the assignment, simply click on it. To rename it, hover over the title, and the click into the title text box. Type your new title. You can also add an introduction or description for your submission in the text field below the title.
Changing Schoology Portfolio File Names, Replacing Files, and Downloading Files.
Students can change the name of a submission after they upload it by clicking on the submission. Click in the title text box and type the new name. Students can also replace the file by click Replace and uploading a new file. Students can also click Download to download files from their Schoology Portfolio.
