Adjusting the Sleep Settings on Your PC Laptop
Staff can adjust the sleep setting for their PC. Please keep in mind that the district has preset times for when your device enters Sleep Mode, which will vary depending on your role, so if you enter a time beyond the maximum, it will still enter Sleep Mode at the pre-set time. To adjust your PC's sleep settings, please follow these instructions:
1. Click on the Windows icon (Start button) in the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
2. Click on the Settings gear.
3. Click on System and then click on Power & battery.
4. Under the Power section, click Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts.
5. There are 4 power settings you can adjust to prolong when your device goes to sleep. Battery power refers to when your power cord is not plugged into the device. If this setting is changed to be too long, it will drain your battery quicker. Adjust your settings as desired.
