Disable Protected Mode on PDFs to be able to Save

    Change the Adobe Acrobat Reader settings to Disable Protected Mode at Startup

    To change the settings of your Adobe Reader to disable the protected mode and allow you to save, please follow these directions:
    1. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
    2. Click 'Edit' from the top navigation menu.
    3. Click 'Preferences from the drop-down menu.
    4. Click 'Security (Enhanced)' from the left side menu and uncheck the box next to 'Enable Protected Mode at startup'.
    You have now disabled the protected mode so you can save changes made to a PDF by clicking on 'Save'.
