Adjusting Your Touchpad Settings

When you first use your PC laptop, you may notice that the touchpad is very sensitive. To change the touchpad settings, please follow these directions:

Using the Windows Search Bar

1.  Type Touchpad into the search bar in the Taskbar at the bottom of your Desktop screen.

2. As you begin to type Touchpad you will see an icon appear for the Touchpad settings. Click on it.

3. When the touchpad settings menu opens, choose the desired settings and then click on the X when you are done.


Please Note: It is recommended to click the drop-down arrow for Taps and select Low sensitivity.

It is also recommended to select Nothing for the Three-finger and Four-finger gestures for Swipes and Taps.


Using the Settings Menu

1.  Click on the Windows icon (Start button) in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

2. Click on Settings.

2. When the Settings menu opens, click on Bluetooth & devices.


*You can also use the Taskbar search bar to search for Touchpad and then click on Touchpad settings when it appears in the drop-down menu.
   

3. Click on Touchpad from the Bluetooth & devices menu.

4. Choose the desired settings and then click on the X when you are done.
