The advisor dashboard will be available to a small selection of staff. This will provide them with a quick tool to see students' Schoology Courses, Groups, work submitted, assignment scores, etc. To utilize the advisor dashboard, please follow these steps:
1. Go to https://sau19.schoology.com.
2. Log into your Schoology account by entering your normal computer username and password and then click Sign in.
Please Note: If you have Advisor Access assigned you, you will see a Tools tab in the top navigation menu. Please follow the steps listed below and watch the short video to learn how to use the Advisor Dashboard. Only educators assigned to this role will be able to utilize the Advisor Dashboard.
3. Click on Tools on the main navigation menu.
4. Click on Advisor Dashboard from the drop-down menu.
5. In the search bar, begin to type in one of your student’s names and you will see the student’s name autogenerate if you are mapped to that student. Instead of a search bar, you may already see a student’s name on the screen with a drop-down menu to toggle between students. Click on the student’s name you wish to view and then you can access their Courses and Groups. Do not just hit enter after typing the last name or it may not open that student's information.
6. All of the Courses and Groups that the student is enrolled in will appear on the screen. Simply click on a Course or Group Title and you will be able to see any materials/assignments posted for the student and any work the student has completed.
*Please note that you will not be able to access any Google, OneDrive, or Annotation Assignments that have been assigned or any work the student has submitted for these types of assignments.

If you have students on your caseload that you believe you should have advisor access for, please check with your Special Education Facilitator. Some schools may not have advisors mapped to students. If the special education facilitator has approved the access and sent the information to the Schoology team, the access will be added.
Viewing Teacher's Courses without Utilizing the Advisor Dashboard:
Educators can also view the materials posted in teacher’s Courses by following these directions:
1. Click on Courses in the navigation menu and then click on My Courses in the upper right-hand side.
2. Scroll down until you see the search box for teacher’s last name on the right-hand side.
3. Enter the teacher’s last name and click Search.
4. Click on the title of the Course you wish to view.
You will now be able to view the basic materials in the Course. You may not be able to open a Google, OneDrive, or Annotations Assignment. You will also not be able to view student specific work.
If you do not have Advisor Access, you will need to support students through their student account. Have the student log into their own account and then you can work with them while they are logged in. Or you can follow the directions for Viewing Course Information When You Are Not Assigned Advisor Access: SAU19 Knowledge Base - Viewing Course Information When You Are Not Assigned Advisor Access.
For Distance Learning Days:
Check with your building administration on the expectations for paraprofessional support on Distance Learning Days. One option is, teachers will be posting Teams links inside their Schoology Course. Please ask them to share this link with you so you can join their office hours sessions. If you need to work with a student during that time, simply ask the teacher to create a breakout room for you and the student.
