Recording Audio or Video Submissions for an Assignment (Grades 5-12)

    If a teacher has created a Schoology Assignment that allows students to attach their own files, then you have the ability to attach an audio or video recording to the assignment. To record and attach an audio or video file, please follow these directions:

    1. Log into Schoology and click on the Course you are completing the assignment for.

    2. Click into the Schoology Assignment.

    3. On the right-hand side, under Submissions, click Submit Assignment. If you do not see the Submit Assignment button, then the assignment was set up as a Google Drive, OneDrive, or Annotations Assignment and will not provide you with this capability.

    4. Click on the microphone icon.

    5. Select either Audio Only or Audio & Video.

    Your device may ask permission to use the microphone or camera. If it does, click Allow.

    6. Click Start Recording to begin recording your audio or video submission.

    7. Once you are done recording, click Stop Recording.


    8. Click Insert Recording.

    9. This will add the recording to your assignment submission. You can add more recordings by clicking on the microphone icon again and creating another recording.

    10. Once you have added your recording(s) and are ready to turn the assignment in, click Submit.
