Adding a Grading Group to Assign Materials to Groups of Students

    In Schoology, you can assign materials to a whole class or individual students. If you have groups of students that you typically assign varied work to, you can create a Grading Group to make this process easier. To create a Grading Group and assign work to that Grading Group, please follow these instructions:

    1. Click on ‘Members’ on the left side bar.
    2. On the right side you will see ‘Organize members into Grading Groups’, hover over it.
    3. When ‘Add Grading Group’ appears, click on it.
    4. Give the grading group a name and click on the students to add to that group. Then click ‘Create Grading Group’.
    5. The new grading group will show in the right-hand side of your ‘Members’ page.
    6. Now when you add an assignment, you can start typing the grading group name and select to assign it to that group of students.
