Turning Your Camera ON/OFF
You can turn your camera ON or OFF when joining a meeting, as well as while you are actively in a meeting. To turn your camera ON/OFF, click on the camera icon to choose whether your camera is ON or OFF. If it has a line drawn diagonally across the camera icon then your camera is OFF. If there is no line present, then your camera is ON.
When joining a meeting:
Muting/Unmuting Your Microphone
You can mute/unmute your microphone when joining a meeting, as well as while you are actively in a meeting. To mute/unmute your microphone, click on the microphone icon to choose whether you are muted or not. If it has a line drawn diagonally across the microphone icon then you are muted. If there is no line present, then your microphone is on.
When joining a meeting:
Muting Other Participants' Microphones (if you are the organizer of the meeting)
The organizer can mute/unmute any participant's microphone during a meeting. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on People from the menu.
2. Click on the three dots to the right of the participant's name.
3. Choose Mute participant from the drop-down menu to mute the participant (they will be able to unmute when needed by clicking on their microphone icon). Choose Disable mic to permanently mute the participant (they will not be able to unmute unless you click on Allow mic.
Disable Cameras for All Attendees (if you are the organizer of the meeting)
The organizer can disable all participants' cameras during a meeting. Participants will not be able to turn their cameras on. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on People from the menu.
2. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the word Participants.
3. Choose Disable camera for attendees.
Enable Cameras for All Attendees After They Have Been Disabled (if you are the organizer of the meeting)
The organizer can enable all participants' cameras during a meeting, after they have been disabled. Participants will be able to turn their cameras on once the presenter has allowed cameras again. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on People from the top menu.
2. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the word Participants.
3. Choose Allow camera for attendees.
Disable Microphones for All Attendees (if you are the organizer of the meeting)
The organizer can disable all participants' microphones during a meeting. Participants will not be able to unmute. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on People from the menu.
2. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the word Participants.
3. Choose Disable mic for attendees.
Enable Microphones for All Attendees After They Have Been Disabled (if you are the organizer of the meeting)
The organizer can enable all participants' microphones during a meeting, after they have been disabled. Participants will be able to unmute once the presenter has allowed mics again. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on People from the top menu.
2. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the word Participants.
3. Choose Allow mic for attendees.
Change the Audio Settings
Participants can change their audio settings during a Teams Meeting. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on the 3 dots above More from the top menu.
Change the view of Participants in the Meeting.
The organizer can change the way participants are viewed in a Teams meeting. To do this, please follow these directions:
1. Click on View.
2. From the drop-down menu, choose from Gallery, Large Gallery, or Together Mode.
Gallery view - This is the default view when joining a meeting on desktop or mobile.

Large gallery view - This will show up to 49 participants, in a 7x7 arrangement. This option is available when at least ten people have their cameras turned on.
Note: Large gallery view is currently not available in Microsoft Teams (free) for Windows 11.
