Schoology Mobile App Instructions for Parents

*Please note that we highly recommend parent utilize their browsers to access parent accounts since the Schoology app has limited functionality and can have issues opening documents as compared to the online website. 


The Schoology mobile app can be utilized after an account has been created on https://app.schoology.com/login.

1. After registering for a parent account, open the Schoology app and use the option to ‘Log in through www.schoology.com’. Click on the ‘Sign in with my account’ button.

2. Enter the email and password used to create the account upon registration and click 'Sign In'.

When you enter your account, no Courses will show, since as a parent, you are not enrolled in any Courses.

3. Click on the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.

4. Click on ‘My Children’ from the menu.

5. Click on 'More' in the menu and click on the child's name visible in the menu. In the new screen you will see an arrow next to the student's name that you are viewing. You can click on a different child's name to view their account.
      
6. Use the top navigation bar to go into your child’s Course and Groups.

7. Click ‘More’ from the navigation bar and then 'Calendar' to view your child’s calendar. If you have a child in grades 7+, you will be able to view points scored on individual assignments under the 'Grades' button. Please Note: All calculated grades are viewable in PowerSchool only.

When inside a Course, you will see many curriculum resources. Parents will not be able to access these resources through their account. Instead a “Private Access Only’ message will appear. If you receive this message, simply navigate back to your child’s account by clicking the back button on your browser or by clicking on the ‘Return home’ button in this message.

7. To change notification settings or check your messages, click on the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner and then select your option from the drop-down.
8. When you are done accessing your Schoology account, please remember to log out by clicking on 'Logout' under the menu options.
