Google Schoology Integration - Embedding Google Drive Resources

To embed a Google Slide into a Schoology page, please follow these steps: 

1. Ensure your Google Resource (Doc, Slide, Sheet) sharing options are set to Anyone with Link. within your SAU1 9 Google account.

2. Log into Schoology and click into the Course you want to embed the resource in. 

3. Click Add Materials and select Add Page from the drop-down menu.

4. When the text box opens, click on the Insert Content icon (square with arrow pointing in it).

5. Choose Google Drive Resource App.

If you do not see the files you want to add, you must first click Is something missing? Add files from Google Drive.

Then select the file you want to add and click Select.

6. If you have not linked your Google account, you will need to link it. Please click on this link to see directions on how to link your account: SAU19 Knowledge Base - Google - Linking Student Accounts in Schoology.
 

7. Click on the gear icon next to the Google Slide you want to embed and select Import Embed. You may need to grant Google permission to add new files if they are not visible. 
 

*Once imported, it will show as a blank screen in the text box - this is expected.

You will now be able to view your embedded Google Drive Resource. 

This can now be copied into all of your Course with no issues by clicking on the gear icon next to the embedded resources and selecting Copy to Course. Then select the Course(s) you want to copy it to by checking the box next to the Course name. To organize it into a folder within the Course, click the Folder drop-down menu and select the desired folder (Elementary and Middle School teachers must place it within the Coursework/Resources folder). Then click Copy.
