Uploading, Embedding, and Assigning Videos into a Schoology Course
Follow these instructions to upload videos into your Schoology ‘My Media’:
1) Log into Schoology and go into one of your Courses.
2) Click on the ‘My Media’ tab on the left side bar.
3) Click the ‘Add New’ button.
4) Add a media file, YouTube video link, or record your own using Kaltura Capture.
For media files, drag the file right into the box, or use the options to attach the file and save.
For YouTube Links, paste the link into the box, review the information that appears in the Preview, and then save.
To record a video, click on ‘Kaltura Capture’.
5) Now that your video is saved, click on the ‘Materials’ button on the left side bar of your Course.
6) Click ‘Add Materials’ and select 'Embed and Assign Kaltura Materials’ from the right-hand side of the ‘Add Materials’ menu.
7) Choose the video you wish to place into your Course and click ‘Embed’.
The video will now appear in your Course.
Embedding Kaltura Media in a Schoology Assignment
Follow these instructions to assign a Kaltura videos into your Schoology Assignment:
1) Click ‘Add Materials’ and select 'Add Assignment'.
2) Title the Assignment and add a description.
3) In the tools menu, click the 'Insert Content' icon and select 'Embed and Assign Kaltura Materials’ from the right-hand side of the menu.
4) Choose the video you wish to place into your Assignment and click ‘Embed’.
5) Fill out the rest of the Assignment settings and then click 'Create'.
The video will now appear in your Assignment.
