Using the Screen Share App.

Part I: Initial setup:

1. Locate the Application “Screen Share” in your “Applications Folder” You may want to add this to your dock


2. Double Click on the “Screen Share” Application.


3. If prompted for Microphone access click “OK”


4. You will now be prompted for the Panel ID for your Promethean board. Enter the code that is displayed on the board (If you don’t see a code make sure you have launched the “Screenshare” app on the board.)

5. Enter your name as you want it to be displayed on the board.

6. Click the Checkbox for “Enable touchback so ActivePanel can navigate your screen”. This will allow you to control your laptop wirelessly from the promethean board the same way it would if you were connected with the USB cable.

7. You will see a popup window asking for permission, Click on “Open System Preferences”


8. Click on the Padlock in the bottom left corner of the window


9. Enter your username & Password and click “Unlock”

10. Locate “Screen Share” in the list on the Right Hand Column. Check the box next to “Screen Share”

11. On the Right hand side now click on “Microphone”

12. Make sure there is a checkbox next to screenshare on this screen as well. You can now close this window.

13. You can now click on “Enter Waiting room” to connect to your board.


Part II: Using your board:

Once set up, you will be able to connect to your board by simply launching the Screen Share App and entering the Panel ID and Name.

When Touchback is enabled on your connection, touching the board will behave as a touchscreen for your laptop.
